Asawin Suebsaeng

Asawin "Swin" Suebsaeng is still pummeling through misspent youth and higher education, doing what he can to eventually graduate from Franklin & Marshall College.He grew up in a town nobody cares about (Bethesda, Maryland), in a year nobody remembers (1988), comes from a country nobody notices (Thailand), and has an interest in a field that yields no real financial benefit (writing).

He has been described by the Los Angeles Times as, "effete, querulous, pretentious, soft on crime, daft, and a Communist sympathizer of the lowest regard."

Swin's loves include The Rolling Stones, P.J. O'Rourke, and Christopher Hitchens, and his loathings include bad teeth, theocratic fascism, and any sport involving a disc.

His hobbies include creating personal budget deficits, watching C-Span dubbed in Spanish, violating Chicago jaywalking ordinances, and having his silver 1998 Honda Accord break down in the middle of Camden, New Jersey.

And for every small shred of success, fortune, or happy coincidence, he would like to thank the growing crowd of "you know who you are."
